3 Ways to Maximize your Sign Visibility

Making the choice on a sign can be difficult.  There are so many things for you to decide, illuminated or non-illuminated, channel letters or raceway mounted, readerboard or message center.  But you also want to make sure that your investment reaches the audience you intend and your potential customers can see you.  These helpful points are aimed at helping you with the sizing and distance of your signage.  

 
1. How far back does your building sit for the road or right of way?  General rule is that the human eye can see 2" text per 100', in planning out how large the lettering needs to be pace off how far away from your sign location the public will most likely be seeing it

How large of a message center do you need to have in order for it to be seen?  Investing in a LED message center is a great way to change your advertising as often as you change your specials.  But you want to make sure it is seen clearly from the road, the following chart gives you an idea of how large you will need to go depending on how far back your sign will be set.
maximize sign visibility 3. What color will be seen the best? Especially if you are going with an illuminated sign you want the colors to be bold and be seen at night brightly. Try to stick with black, blues and yellows as these light the best and are seen from a distance.
